UPCOMING CAREER EXPLORING MEETINGS

ARCHITECTURE & DESIGN – Thursday, December 11th @ 7:00pm at Sinclair HilleArchitects,
700 Q Street (Haymarket). This group will work on projects with a
focus on architecture, interior and landscape design.

AVIATION – EVERY MONDAY EVENING, 7:00PM @ the Air National Guard. Students
must contact Tim (499-0530) if they have not attended before. He will give
directions to the area and security procedures.

COMMUNICATION/JOURNALISM Meetings starting in November. More information to follow.

DENTISTRY – TUESDAY, OCTOBER 16 , 7:00PM @ UNMC College of Dentistry, 40th and Holdrege Streets. Students will participate on hands-on activities to learn about
careers in dentistry, dental hygiene & assisting and dental technology.

LAW CAREERS – Meetings starting in November. More information to follow.

LAW ENFORCEMENT – Tuesday, December 11th @ 7:00 pm at The Hall of Justice
(main entrance), 555 South 10th St. The parking lot north of the building is
free at night. Students will learn about various careers in the law
enforcement area, participate in very hands-on projects and participate
in community activities.

LINCOLN FIRE & RESCUE – SUNDAY, OCTOBER 21 @ 7:00PM at Station 8, 17th and Van Dorn.
Space is limited, but students who wish to have very practical, hands-on exposure to
Fire-fighting and rescue are urged to attend.

MEDICAL/HEALTH – Monday, December 10th @ 6:30 pm @ St E’s MedicalCenter @555 South 70th (meet in the main lobby by the coffee cart). We will tour the different areas of the hospital and focus on
Cardiovascular area this meeting.
