Counseling Center Announcements for the Week of January 16th:  

Juniors - A PreACT Interpretation with score reports will be provided Tuesday, January 23rd immediately after school (2:10 PM) in the Auditorium. A make-up session will be held Wednesday, January 24th at 7:20 AM Room 115.

Sophomores - PreACT Test results will be provided TODAY in your English class.

Seniors - It is Scholarship Season! Check out Google Classroom 2018 and ScholarshipQuest on the EducationQuest website for scholarships. The Susan T. Buffett Scholarship deadline is quickly approaching February 1st!

The Career Academy invites current 10th and 11th graders and their parents to one of two January TCA Information Sessions to learn more about "doing high school differently" by taking classes 2 hours a day in a hands-on career pathway to prepare for your future. Plan on attending Tuesday, January 23 at TCA, located at 88th & O Streets. Visit thecareer.academy for more information and to apply on-line.

Registration for the 2018-2019 school year begins next week! Be prepared by reviewing Registration Resources in Google Classrooms (2021, 2020, or 2019) or on the LNE Counseling Website.

Freshmen will register for 10th grade: January 22 - 26
Sophomores will register for 11th grade: January 29 - February 3
Juniors will register for 12th grade: February 5 - 9

JUNIORS! Cornhusker Boys and Girls State is one of the best leadership opportunities in Nebraska. Interested juniors who excel academically and have leadership potential can pick up applications in the Counseling Center or in Google Classroom 2019. The application deadline is January 26th. 2018

Attorney General’s Youth Conference – Are you a JUNIOR interested in the process of government and law? Would you like to participate in discussion forums with elected officials, listen to debates and eat lunch at the Governor’s Residence? The application is in Google Classroom 2019 and is due January 31st.

ACT Online Prep (AOP): This tool will be free to juniors until October 2018 (current seniors continue to have access as well for a few more months).

ACT Practice tests are located at actstudent.org. 

LPS-sponsored ACT-SAT-PSAT workshop is available for a fee of $125 (fee adjusted for those who qualify for free or reduced-price meals). More information is available at wp.lps.org/testprep/ or by contacting Michelle Fonck at mfonck@lps.org.

Have you lost articles of clothing this school year? Check out the Lost and Found cupboard in room 201 today for that missing sweatshirt, etc. All items not picked up by Monday, January 22 will be donated to Peoples City Mission.

Are you interested in finding out more information about the Lincoln Northeast Trap Club?  There is a mandatory Parent / Student meeting for those interested in the Northeast Trap Club on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 7 pm and Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at 7 pm in the Mickle Middle School Media Center (2500 N 67th St).  While the Tuesday meeting is structured for new participants and the Wednesday meeting is structured for returning participants, you may attended either day.  You can also find us on Facebook at “Lincoln Northeast Trap Club” or you may contact us @ lnemickletrap@gmail.com.  Lincoln Northeast Trap Club is a community based club and not Lincoln Public School sponsored.

LNE art club will be meeting on for the first time in the new year on Wednesday, January 24th.   Everyone is welcome! Meet in room 036 right after school if you are interested. See Ms. Elsener or Ms. Hrbek for more details. 

SkillsUSA work days Tuesday mornings at 7 am and Thursday afternoons after school from 3-4 in room 057

Softball Meeting Monday, January 22nd at 4:00 pm. Room B062 (The Pit). 

The Hall of Fame Induction will be during the Girls Basketball game tonight at 8 pm. The Athletic Hall of Fame Banquet is Saturday night at 6:00 pm at the Havelock Social Hall.
