There will be a boys golf meeting after school on Wednesday, February 12. This meeting will be held in room 308 and will last only about 15 minutes. It is for anyone that is interested in playing golf in the spring. 

If you’d like to buy a yearbook this year, please do so by this Sunday, February 16th to be guaranteed a copy. A few copies will be for sale at distribution in May, but we sold out last year, so reserve your copy by purchasing today (or by February 16th). Seniors: If you or your parent would like to purchase a senior ad, the deadline to do so is February 16th. Your parents can put your baby photo and a message to you, or you can purchase space to leave a message for your friends or future self! You can design the ad yourself, or submit photos and have the yearbook staff design it for you. To purchase an ad go to jump code RMYX by February 16th. 

Driver’s Ed is being offered over spring break, Mar. 9-13, by Mr. Shada. Registration forms are on the counter in the Athletic Office. The registration deadline is Fri., Mar. 6.  The cost is $300 or $250 with proof of free or reduced lunch.

SkillsUSA is selling metal roses for $8. Hydrodipped roses are $10. If interested, talk to a skillsUSA member or stop down to room 57 before or after school. Check out the samples in the Main Office.

Art Club will meet next Wednesday, February 12 in room 36. Join us as we take a closer look at Kara Walker and her contribution to to the art world for Black History Month. The meeting will run from 3-4. Join us.

GSA will meet TODAY, to celebrate Valentine’s Day a few days early. Make valentines, eat some heart shaped chocolates, and discuss the over-commercialization of the holiday in room 204 from 3-4.

Counseling Center

JUNIORS who signed up for ACT Prep Class – Next session will be in the Auditorium at 2:15 PM ON TUESDAY! Check your LPS email; you were sent login information. Contact Mrs. Beaner if you have questions.

ELL ACT Prep will be on Tuesday at 2:15 PM in Room 215. Contact Mrs. Davis if you have questions. Juniors & Seniors – Our UNL Admissions Rep, CJ Kracl, will have office hours at LNE THIS THURSDAY, February 13th in the Counseling Center. She will answer questions about Financial Aid, Majors, My Red, Housing Contracts, anything UNL! Sign up on the Counseling Center Kiosk today!

Students Grades 10-12 interested in Law – UNL High School Diversity Law Day will be February 21st. Interested students can pick up a Field Trip Permission form in the Counseling Center. All forms will be due Wednesday, February 12th by 3:15 PM.

Thursday, February 13th is the deadline to register for Nebraska Wesleyan Dual Credit this semester.

11th to 12th grade Course Selection for the 2020-2021 school year is this week during US History classes.

Seniors! The LPS Foundation Scholarship Deadline is February 24th! There will be a HELP Session on Tuesday, February 11th in ?? Bailey Feit, the Scholarship Coordinator for LPS Foundation will be available to help you complete your application!

Many new scholarships have been posted in the Scholarship document in Google Classroom 2020.

Will you be the first in your family to go to college? Take the first step to being the first in your family with a degree. Join other first-generation students at Nebraska’s I’m First Symposium on March 4th. Permission forms are available in the Counseling Center and will be due February 12th. The first 50 students to turn in permission forms will go.
