Is there an issue in our school, or the Lincoln community, that you want to help address/find a solution for? Are you interested in leading a project and being a Voice for Change? This Project-Based Learning model is completely student-led and open to any and all who are interested. If you have any questions, contact Ms. Biddlecom or Spencer Lemon in CLC. Auditions for the spring all-school play, “1918” by Horton Foote, are being held in the Drama Center on Wednesday, January 13 (A day) and Thursday, January 14 (B day) after school. All LNE students are welcome to audition. No experience is necessary. Please see Mr. Chapman in the Drama Center (room 107) with questions and for an audition time.


There will be a formal SkillsUSA Meeting in room 59 on Thursday, January 14th at 3:10 p.m. to discuss out upcoming competitions and practice plans for the semester. All current members should plan to attend or get in contact with Mr. Goldenstein.


Seniors – Buffett Scholarship Help Sessions

LNE English teachers and Counselors will be available to help students with their Susan Buffett Scholarship Applications. Help sessions will be January 11, 21, & 29 at 3:15 – 4:15 PM in Room 112.

The SCC Dual Credit registration deadline is TODAY – Monday, January 11th. Work with your Dual Credit teachers to register for courses. Scholarships are available to pay for dual credit if you have financial need. See your School Counselor if you have questions about the Learn To Dream or ACE Scholarships to pay for Dual Credit courses.


JUNIORS! Cornhusker Boys and Girls State is one of the best leadership opportunities in Nebraska. Interested juniors who excel academically and have leadership potential can pick up applications in the Counseling Center or in Google Classroom 2022. The application deadline is January 29th.

  • Slam Poetry will meet on Tuesday, January 12th at 3:15 p.m.
  • Art Club will start on the 19th
  • The Gay Straight Alliance & The Writing Club starts the 26th
  • Freestyle will meet Friday the 15th @ 3:15 p.m.
  • Film & Photo, Auto, Latinos Unidos, Dungeons & Dungeons, & Podcast Clubs will meet this Wednesday @ 3:30 p.m.
