Several months ago the Lincoln Public Schools Superintendent’s Facilities Advisory Committee was formed, charged with reviewing both present and future facility and infrastructure needs for our school district over the next 7-10 years.
As part of that review, the Facilities Advisory Committee would like to know why students choose to attend a school outside of their assigned attendance area. High school students attending a comprehensive high school outside their attendance zone will receive a survey link in their LPS email via Qualtrics, the district’s surveying tool on Monday, February 26, 2019.
The information from students responding to the survey is essential to the future of our school district, as it will be used to inform decisions about planning for new high schools and high school programs at LPS. The survey will be open to collect responses from February 26 - through March 8, 2019.
We need your help in encouraging your child to complete the survey so we can better understand the reasoning behind their choice. The deadline to complete the survey is March 8. This would be a great opportunity for you to sit down with your child to have a conversation regarding their choice of schools.
Thank you for your time,
