Counseling Center Announcements for the Week of September 17th;

September 28th is the registration deadline for the October 27th ACT Test. See your friendly LNE Counselor if you have questions or are eligible for a fee waiver.
Do not wait until the last minute to register!

A Sept. 26th field trip to Wayne State College is being offered for interested Juniors and Seniors. Space is limited; sign up in the Counseling Center.

The PSAT Test will be offered for Sophomores & Juniors on Saturday, October 13th at LNE. For juniors, this is the qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Competition. Register for the test in the LNE Counseling Center. The cost of the test is $25; Juniors with financial need can request a fee waiver. The registration deadline is October 5th.

COLLEGE CLUB will begin next Tuesday, Sept. 25th at 2:10 PM in Room 107. ALL STUDENTS wanting to go to college are invited. Former LNE students who are now in college will be guest speakers. Food & Prizes will be provided. See you there!

Seniors - Do you need help with Scholarships, Setting up a Campus Visit, and all things college? Attend the Senior College Prep Workshop next Thursday, Sept. 27th at 8 AM. LNE Counselors will be here to help you with any college planning. Donuts & Juice will be served. Sign up in Google Classroom 2019 or in the LNE Counseling Center.

All girls interested in playing tennis in the spring, there will be a short introductory meeting on Monday, September 24 at 3:05PM in room 243 (Coach Mason's room). We will talk about some offseason information, concessions and team social outings. If you have a fall sport or can't make the meeting, please come see Coach Mason in room 243 to get the information. Again, the meeting is on Monday, September 24 at 3:05PM in room 243.

If you signed up for the step team, you will need to report to room 302 on Thursday, September 27th from 3:05 until 4:00 pm. Make sure you are closed toed shoes! See you there Rockets!

The LNE Spirit Squad will be hosting its 2nd annual Waffleman Feed on Saturday, September 22 from 8:00 -11:00 a.m. in the Commons. For $7.00, you can purchase a ticket for all-you-can-eat Belgian waffles, sausage links, and six different syrups to choose from. Purchase your ticket at lunch at the LNE Spirit Squad Waffleman ticket table or from any Star Strutter or cheerleader outside of lunch.

Are you taking a World Language and interested in studying abroad to Chile, Spain, France or Germany?  There is an anonymous LNE alumni that donates to send a LNE student to study in these places.  Requirements are that you have taken 2 years of language.  Please join us for a Q & A session with the CIEE coordinator Monday October 1st in room 236.  If you have any questions, please see Sra. Hernandez.  

Northeast Speech and Debate is looking for new recruits! If you are interested in acting, debating, argumentation, or sharing your voice--feel free to come to our team meetings. Speech and Debate meets every Monday from 3:10-3:30 in Mr. Shelly's room (139). Competitions will begin in November. Please talk to Mr. Shelly or Mrs. Zamrzla for more details.

Students who are interested in competing on the Debate team should see Mrs. Zamrzla in Room 33 for a handbook and information on the team, which will start practices in October. An information night for parents of interested students will be on Monday, October 1 at 6:00pm in Room 33. Boot camp will run from Tuesday October 2 to Friday October 5 from 3:15-5:00, also in Room 33.

Students wishing to participate in the UNL Math Day Competition should sign up with their math teacher this week.
