Counseling Center Announcements for the Week of October 22nd:

The SENIOR "Learn To Dream" Field Trip to Southeast Community College will be November 6th. Permission Forms are due by October 31st.

Juniors & Seniors - Visit the University of Nebraska-Omaha on November 15th! Space is limited and seats will be reserved based on when permission forms are returned.

The registration deadline for the December 9th ACT Test is November 2nd. This is the last test date accepted by many colleges for admissions and/or scholarships. See your friendly LNE counselor if you need assistance and/or a fee waiver.

SOPHOMORES - Do you want to be a leader? Consider applying for two summer leadership opportunities: HOBY (Hugh O’Brien Youth Leadership Academy) or the Nebraska Leadership Seminar. Both provide unique leadership training that empowers students to become strong, compassionate youth leaders. See Mrs. Peaslee in the Counseling Center if you would like to attend the informational meeting on Nov. 6th.

Register on-line to attend a UNL Diversity Leadership Symposiums. By attending, you’ll be eligible for the UNL Emerging Leaders tuition scholarship worth $8,000 over the course of four years. See your LNE Counselor if you need assistance. Latino Leadership Symposium for SENIORS - October 30th

 LNE Rocket Seniors:
Representatives from Lincoln Graduation will be in the commons at Northeast during lunch on Wednesday, October 31 and Thursday, November 1 to help with your cap and gown order and senior announcements.
If you have not already ordered your cap and gown for the graduation ceremony online, this is your opportunity to talk with a representative one on one.
Don't feel like cooking? Enjoy a stress free dinner AND help support LNE FBLA by eating at Raising Canes on 48th & R ST, TONIGHT from 5-8 p.m. Remember to mention LNE FBLA when you pay in order for us to get the credit.

Engineering Club will meet Thursday [Oct. 25] in room 59 at 7am.

The Lincoln Northeast Trap Club for a “TRY IT DAY” on Saturday, October 27, 2018 from 2 to 4 pm at the Lincoln Trap and Skeet Club. (4855 North 48th Street – just north of 48th and Superior) This is an opportunity to find out more about Trap and see if it is a sport that you are interested in. Any student interested in participating in Trap can join the team. Coaches and team members will be available to answer questions. You can bring your own sporting device and equipment. Some equipment and a few sporting devices will be available to try. Cost is $5 per round of 25 targets. Lincoln Northeast Trap Club is a community-based club and not Lincoln Public School sponsored.

On Tuesday, November 6, 2018, at 2:10 p.m., in Room 130 (across from Media Center),  Dr. Patrick Hunter-Pirtle, Director of Secondary Education for the Lincoln Public Schools, would like to meet with  a focus group of students who would be interested in brainstorming ideas for possible new focus programs and alternative forms of learning in the Lincoln Public Schools. Please join Dr. Hunter-Pirtle if you would be interested in sharing your ideas with him and other students. Thank you!

Open to all LNE students and Families, The Rocket Market! The Rocket Market will Thursday, October 25th from 3:00 - 3:30 pm in the Cafeteria Commons. The Food Bank of Lincoln is sponsoring the Rocket Market to provide free food for Students and families of LNE. You do not need proof of income. Bring nothing. It is Free. The Rocket Market will be open once monthly throughout the school year.

Welcome to Unity week. Northeast is gonna promote kindness to one another and take a stand against bullying. There will be a table set up during lunch where you can take your own individual stand against bullying and help make our school chain. Have a great Monday!

LNE students take pride in the community both on campus and off. Please do not leave trash on the ground when you are parking in the neighborhood. There are trashcans provided around campus for your convenience. The trash from your car should be placed in the trashcans, keep the LNE neighborhood clean!
