Good afternoon Northeast families,

At Northeast and Lincoln Public Schools, the safety of student-athletes, coaches, officials, and fans are one of our top priorities. The majority of school event safety threats across the nation happen at the conclusion of high school athletic contests. As such, all the high schools at LPS are working to communicate consistent post-game protocols to ensure a successful and safe conclusion to all contests. These post-game protocols were created in collaboration with national school safety experts.

We understand that fans and student-athletes want to celebrate together after the game. However, in a large crowd it can be difficult to determine who has positive intentions and who does not. To ensure that all individuals are able to leave the event safely, LPS has implemented a post-game protocol that moves student athletes immediately into the locker room and fans out of the competition area as quickly and safely as possible.

What this means…After the conclusion of the game, coaches will hold their post-game meetings and then immediately move student-athletes into the locker room following these meetings. Event staff will also encourage fans to leave the arena immediately and away from the sidelines. Family members and fans can arrange to meet their student-athletes outside of the event gates or away from the competition venue.

School safety takes a community. We thank you in advance for your cooperation with these safety protocols, and GO ROCKETS!

Sincerely,

Liz Miller, Principal

Rocket Families,

We are excited to welcome all students back to Northeast tomorrow!  It is important to know as part of our tennis court renovation the south staff parking lot (off of Baldwin Street) will close soon to lay new cement and asphalt. To help with parking, the city has temporarily approved parking on 61st Street from Baldwin to Adams.

Please plan for a few extra minutes to navigate your arrival to school, and please be patient with one another. Our goal is for students to arrive safely and on time.

Go Rockets,

Liz Miller

Don’t miss out on important back-to-school information! Please take the important steps below to ensure your family’s information is up-to-date.

Every year families are required to complete the enrollment verification process. This includes updating contact information and signing consent and release forms. Please do this as soon as possible so you don’t miss out on important information. The deadline is before the first day of school.

Verify your child’s records:

  1. Starting today, families can log on to ParentVUE, and click on the Online Registration button in the top right corner.

  2. Verify the current address, phone number and email information provided. (This is how your school will contact you about emergencies and send important updates.)

  3. Follow the prompts on the screen and answer each question or verify information already provided as thoroughly as possible.

If you have questions or need help with completing these steps, please contact your child’s school.

If you have previously used your ParentVUE account, but can’t remember your password, you can reset it online at https://synergyvue.lps.org/. If you have not yet activated your LPS ParentVUE account, please contact the main office of your child’s school for instructions and an activation key.

Thank you for your help!
