Senior Information

Graduation

For your planning purposes, the LNE Class of 2024 will graduate at Pinnacle Bank Arena, at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 26th, 2024. We look forward to celebrating your student’s final year at Lincoln Northeast!

Senior Fines / Fees

Please take the time to check your fines and fees and ensure that you have all overdue books or materials returned before the end of the school year. Please note that we charge for temporary IDs. If you need to make a payment plan with your administrator, visit the Main Office to get that process started.

Cap & Gown Information

Below is information for students purchasing a cap/gown/tassel.
For any student qualifying for the Free-Reduced Meals program, see Ms. Ourada in the Main Office for information on completing a Fee Waiver to order your cap/gown/tassel at no charge.

To Place Your Order go to https://signaturegraduation.com/products/lincoln-northeast-cap-gown-and-tassel

You will be able to order your cap, gown and tassel as well as other items to commemorate your Senior year. Your order will ship to the address of your choosing. We will not come to the school to take orders this year so you will need to order on our website.

Order Apparel?

If you order apparel (t-shirts and hoodies), typically it will ship to you 7-10 days after you place your order.

When Can I Order?
You can order now until May 17th. I would recommend placing your order before February 1st because there will be a price increase on that date. After May 17th, all online orders placed must be picked up from our office.

PICK UP orders can be placed from May 18th through May 24th at NOON.

No orders will be accepted online after May 24th at NOON.

When Will I Receive My Order?
We will ship your order to you as soon as all items are packaged. Depending on items purchased it could be the spring before your package is received. You will receive an email* with tracking information to the email you provide on your order. Please watch your email for that information so you know when your package is coming.

Appropriate Dress

Participating seniors must wear the traditional graduation gowns, caps and tassels. We would like all students to dress appropriately for a dignified ceremony.

  • Tassels will be worn over the right eye. Mortarboards are to be worn with the flat surface horizontal.
  • Please leave purses or bags at home, or your clear bag with your family.
  • Nuisance items (e.g. sunglasses) will not be allowed in the arena.
  • Keep your mortarboards and gowns neat. No writing or taping will be allowed.
  • Please remember this is a formal ceremony, students will not be allowed to carry any items with them across the stage to receive their diploma.

Weekly Announcements

Baseball Tryouts

Lincoln Northeast Baseball Tryouts are February 26-28. Anyone interested in trying out needs to have turned in a physical to the office and completed the 2023-2024 LPS Athletics Participation Packet on lps.org. There will be a pre-tryout meeting for Baseball in The Pit on Wednesday, February 21, at 3:15 p.m. Anyone who is not still in a winter sport, who wants to try out, should plan on attending. If anyone has any questions about tryouts or how to get more information, please email Coach Zornes at fzornes@lps.org

Prom Song Requests

Student Council  would like all juniors and seniors who plan on attending prom to fill out the song request form. The song request form will be closed on March 18th so make sure you fill it out before then. You can access the form in your Google Classroom and at jumpcode PIBK.

Girls who are interested in playing tennis during the spring season should plan to attend a short informational meeting about tryouts on Thursday, February 22, directly after school in Coach Mason’s Room 235. We’ll go over tryout times and locations and what to expect at the beginning of the season. If you cannot attend for some reason, please come talk to Coach Mason.

Temporary ID FInes

Please note that we charge for temporary IDs. Temporary IDs cost $1 each. A replacement permanent ID is only $3. If you are accumulating temporary ID charges, please visit the Main Office to purchase a replacement permanent ID.

For the most updated announcements, your student can view a LIVE version of the Rocket Weekly on their Google Classroom.

Walled Garden

There are many “layers” of digital protections that follow your student as they progress through their life in LPS. Informed by federal/state laws, and guided by LPS Board of Education policies, the District builds a digital “walled garden” where students are able to collaborate with peers and teachers, while also keeping their data secure.

Learn more about how your student’s data privacy is protected here: https://home.lps.org/cs/?page_id=18083

Testing Season is upon us!

It’s said a body needs 8 hours of sleep every night. That’s especially true during the testing season. Student Chromebooks also need a good night of charging. Please help your students remember to bring their Chromebooks fully charged every day.
